Last Tuesday night,
there were so many people using Facebook that I was extremely surprised when I
signed in. Everyone was excited about the coming of the Double Tenth Day. In order
to express their happiness, they changed their profile pictures into the
pictures of our national flag and posted plenty of articles, which told others what
they would do during the following holiday. Feeling the passion, my roommates
and I suddenly wanted to do something special. Therefore, we discussed seriously
and eventually come out of a good plan.
At 1 a.m., we left
for the NCCU canteen and took three cans of beers to the counter lively. The
shopkeeper looked at us with a strange smile and asked us about why we bought
these at midnight. Without thinking, I involuntarily said, “To celebrate the Double
Tenth Day.” (Actually we had wanted to try this for a long time.) Then all of
them burst into laughter, and they also agreed drinking for our country was a
good explanation. In this way, we had a very funny talk there. My roommates and I chatted all the way back to our room.
And after sneaking back to our dormitory with the beers, we kept chatting. We drank beers, cheered with one another, and talked about our high school
lives, family members, as well as my favorite gossips. By the activity of the celebration,
I understood my friends more deeply, and really had a great time. My recent annoying
feeling unexpectedly disappeared because of it, and the happiness remains until
now. For me, it was a super memorable day, and I will remember it forever!
Dear Angel,
ReplyDeleteI think it is fantastic for you to celebrate this holiday with your roommates, and I think your way of celebrating Double Tenth Day is really interesting. As for me, I didn’t see anyone who changed their personal photo or post articles about Double Tenth Day on Facebook. To tell the truth, I didn’t feel very excited about this holiday, neither did I celebrate it or do something special. I just feel lucky to take a day off, and I envy you because I didn’t celebrate it with my friends.
Really? Maybe you should give it a try next time. I didn't do this before, but I think celebrating (boring) national holiday with friends is really fun.:)
DeleteThat’s what college students should do¬ ---drinking beer and celebrating for the upcoming holiday the whole night! It was a pity that two of my roommates were not in the dorm then, or I think I would do the same thing as you. Remember to invite me next time when you want to do such crazy things. You can just walk downstairs and knock on my door. It could be easy for you to do so because I live beneath you. Hah!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I will remember to invite you next time difinitely! But...can you drink? One of my roommates can't drink but still do it, and she ended up lying on the floor.I hope you won't be the same.XD
